GUWAHATI - MANAS - SHILLONG - CHERRAPUNJEE - GUWAHATI

DAY 1: Guwahati - Manas (Distance & time approx 176 kms / 3 hrs drive)
You will be assisted at Guwahati Airport, Drive to Manas National Park which is 150 kms away & will take almost 3 hrs. Check in at Cottage/Lodge at Manas NP, stay overnight.

Day 2: Manas National Park

Manas National Park is a World Heritage Site & a tiger Project. Apart from tiger, one horned rhinos, hispid hare, gaurs, pygmy hogs and rare golden languor available in this park. It is a paradise for birdwatchers. Early morning we will go for Elephant safari. After breakfast we will go for Village visit by walk/Bicycle. Back to Cottage/Lodge, after lunch Jeep safari in the National Park. Rest of the time free for leisure and enjoy evening Cultural show (optional- Bihu/Jhumur/Bodo dance performed by local artists) and overnight stay.

Day 3: Whole day Jeep Safari

After breakfast, whole day Jeep Safari in the Bhuyanpara & Bansbari Range. Rest of the time free for leisure and enjoy evening Cultural show (optional- Bihu/Jhumur/Bodo dance performed by local artists) and overnight stay.

Day 4: River Rafting and drive to Shillong (Distance & time approx 260 kms / 5 hrs drive)

After breakfast, river rafting from Mathanguri to Narayanguri. Back to Cottage/Lodge for lunch, and you will be driven to Shillong, also known as the “Scotland of the East”- a lovely hill station in the state of Meghalaya. The road winds through green hills and crosses the beautiful Umium Lake. Check-in at your hotel, Overnight stay.

Day 5: Shillong Sightseeing

After breakfast , set off for full day sightseeing tour to Don Bosco Museum, the beautiful and picturesque Ward’s Lake, Lady Hydari Park, Butterfly Museum and a shopping spree to Police Bazaar and pick your favourite from handicraft items, local artifacts, wonderful utility and artistic products made from bamboo and cane. Back to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 6: Shillong-Cherrapunjee Sightseeing (Distance & time approx 60km/2 hrs drive)

After breakfast, set off for a drive to Cherrapunjee- the place that receives the second highest rainfall in the world. On the way, visit the Elephanta Falls and travel to Shillong Peak for a chilling experience and a bird’s eye view of the entire city. You will also get to see the beautiful waterfalls known as Nohkalikai, Seven Sisters falls and can also explore the caves known as Mawsmai. Overnight stay at resort/hotel.

Day 7: Cherrapunjee – Guwahati via Umiam Lake (Distance & time approx 160km/5 hrs drive)

After breakfast, drive to Guwahati, enroute visit Umiam Lake, also known as Barapani (Big Water) is a spot around 15 Km from Shillong where a massive hydro-electric dam has been constructed across the Umiam river stream. The Lake is popular for the Water Sport and adventure facilities that it offers. On arrival Guwahati, check in at hotel for overnight stay.

Day 8: Guwahati Departure

After breakfast, check-out from the hotel and proceed to Guwahati Airport for next destination.
